Q 1. What is ATMA?
A. AIMS Test for Management Admissions, which is one of the six national
level tests, along with CAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAT and XAT, recognized by
AICTE and Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Launched in 2000, ATMA is a
credible, comprehensive and single window test for admission to
different post-graduate management programmes.
Q 2. What is the eligibility criterion?
A. Any graduate or students of final year in graduation, without any age restriction can appear for the test.
Q 4. What are the test centres?
A. ATMA is expected to be conducted in 14 cities:

Q 5. How many test centres can be chosen by a candidate?
A. Two, in order of preference at the time of registration itself.
Q 6. Can a candidate request for change of test centre opted at a later stage?
A. In the normal circumstances, the centre of first preference will be
allotted or alternatively the second choice in case of non-availability
of sufficient systems or cancellation of the first centre, for any
reason. Only in exceptional cases, a request for change of centre can be
considered if the request is made on or before 17th July, 2013.
Q 7. Can a candidate use his own computer and give the test?
A. No. One has to necessarily go to the test venue allotted and give the test.
Q 8. Is there any choice of Test Venue for the Candidate within a particular city?
A. No. The allotment of Test Venues is done automatically by the system and no change is allowed.
Q 9. What is the nature and structure of ATMA?
A. The test contains 180 objective type questions spread over six
sections to be answered over a period of three hours. The following

Q 10. How many multiple answers for each question will be provided?
A. Each objective type question will have four answers. The candidate will have to click the answer which s/he thinks correct.
Q 11. How is a candidate awarded marks?
A. Each correct answer receives one mark and there will be no marks for
the question left unanswered. For each incorrect answer, a 0.25 mark
will be deducted from the marks obtained.
Q 12. Are the ATMA Scores comparable with those of other similar tests?
A. Although all are national level tests. since the actual questions set
by each national test differ from the other, marks are not exactly
comparable.
Registration fee
Q 1. What is the amount of Registration fee and is it refundable if the test is not given by the candidate for any reason?
A. The registration fee is Rs.1050/- (Rupees One Thousand and Fifty
only). The fee once remitted will not be refunded under any
circumstance.
Q 2. Is there any concession in fee for SC/ST?
A. No. There is no concession in fee for any category of students.
Q.3. What is the advantage of selecting participating Institutes while doing the registration?
A. ATMA scores will be sent to the five institutes selected from the
List of Participating Institutes available on the website. The
candidates can quote the PID no., and apply to the selected Institutes
through the institutes application form to be obtained directly from the
respective Institutes.
Q 4. What is the role of AIMS/ATMA in the selection process?
A. AIMS will only send the ATMA scores to the five selected Institutes.
Based on the individual institutes selection criteria, they consider
ATMA Scores and the performance of the candidate in the selection
criteria, for admission purpose.
Modes of Payment
Q1. How does a candidate make the registration fee payment?
A. The following three options are available for remitting the fee.

Q 2. Is registration necessary after making payment?
A. Yes. Without registration, one will not get the password allotted, nor can the roll no be generated.
Q 3. What are the details required to be filled in at the time of payment?
A. Full Name as entered in your 10th class certificate, correct Email ID, Mobile no. and Date of Birth.
Q 4. Is it necessary to provide cell no. and email ID at the time of payment and also registration?
A. Yes. A candidate should provide his/her cell no. and valid email ID for all future communications.
Required details to be filled in at the time of registration
Personal
Identification No (PID) (received after making the payment), Name of
the Candidate, Address for communication, State / Union Territory you
belong to, City, Pincode, Email ID, Confirm Email ID, Date of Birth,
Gender, Landline no., Mobile No., Preferred Test City: Choice 1 & 2
(from the drop-down list), Qualification details, Post qualification
experience, Choice code of Institutes for reporting ATMA Scores (from
the Participating Institutes list on the website: www.atmaaims.com).
Q 5. Is a print-out of the registration of the application required?
A. After completion of all the required data and selecting

Admit Card
A candidate is require to
download his/her admit card from 17/07/2013. Candidates will not be
allowed to appear for the test without the admit card, on which two
copies of the recent passport size photos will have to be affixed.
Q 1. What are the items allowed into the Test Venue?
A. Except Ball point pen for signing in the Admit
Card and in the attendance sheet, filled-in registration print-out,
payment receipt and Photo Id. no other items will be allowed into the
lab.
Q 2. Can Cell phones or calculators be allowed into the Test Venue?
A. No. Cell phones, even in switched-off mode and calculators or any gadgets are not allowed into the test venue.
Q 3. How does one do the rough calculations?
A. Papers for rough work will be provided by the test venue, which should be submitted to the invigilator.
Q 4. Will there be any break during the test time?
A. No candidate will be allowed to move out of the testing lab and there will be no break in this period of 3 hrs.
Q 5. Is change of computer allowed during the examination?
A. No. A candidate cannot change his computer unless it is found to be
non-operational for any reason. If a change is required it will be only
done by the test coordinator.
Q 6. If there is discontinuity of the test on account of
power failure or any reason, will the candidates be allowed additional
time?
A. Yes. On account of power failure or for any
other reason, if there is a break in continuing the examination, the
candidate(s) will be compensated by allowing additional time to the
extent of the loss of time only.
Q 7. Should a candidate send any documents any where?
A. No. No documents, including registration form need to be sent to any office.
Q 8. Is any document to be preserved for future use by the candidate?
A. Yes. In addition to the registration print-out, the admit card
portion meant for the candidate which is signed by the test supervisor,
the email giving their PID no., and Password must be retained for future
use.
Results & Scores
Q 1. Around what date the results of ATMA can be expected?
A. Around 24th July, 2013
Q 2. What does the score card contain?
A. The Score card of each individual candidate contains Name, Roll No,
Address, Mobile No., Scores and percentiles for each subject the total
score along with the percentile.
Q 3. What is the role of AIMS/ATMA in the selection process?
A. AIMS will only send the ATMA scores to the five selected
Institutes. Based on the individual institutes selection criteria, they
consider ATMA Scores and the performance of the candidate in the
selection criteria, for admission purpose.
Q 4. Is a hard copy of the score card sent to the candidate?
A.
No. Every candidate is expected to download his/her score card within a
maximum of two months from the date of announcement on the website.
Q 5. Can a candidate get additional institutes reported of his/her scores?
A.
Yes. Scores can be sent to Institutes other than the ones already opted
on payment of Rs.100/- per Institute payable through DD in favour of "
Association of Indian Management Schools" payable at Hyderabad.
Q 6. Will requests for duplicate score cards be
entertained after the period of two months from the date of announcement
of results?
A. No. No request for duplicate score cards
will be entertained afterwards. One should print-out the score card
using his password within the stipulated time.
Q 7.Is any student support facility available at ATMA Head Quarters or ATMA Pune office?
A. Most of the questions are already answered above and incase there is any further need, a candidate can send an email to
atma.secretariat@gmail.com which will be answered within a day. No telephone calls will be entertained.
